Outside Parallel Pirouette
This jazz lesson covers the outside pirouette, a full turn on the ball of one foot toward the lifted leg. The basic version is done with a high passé and a straight supporting leg, and the turn comes from a preparation.
Tendu to the side, step back, plié, then lift the knee into parallel passé. The arms prepare forward, open to second, then close to first. Spot back to where you started.
