Description

This full body warm-up will get your body lengthened, elongated and strong. Proper alignment is emphasized to strengthen muscles, support joints, and encourage flexibility. Expect isolations, lunging, bending, ending with floor stretches. You'll also spend some time on ab work to strengthen the core. Throughout the 30 minutes you will be invited to come back to your breath and the gratitude of taking care of your body.

About the instructor

Alexie is a dancer, actor, born performer. She grew up dancing and competing in Southern California. She was introduced to the entertainment world through her teacher and mentor Tina D'Amato Sidoni at the age of 6 and has been auditioning and performing ever since. Her training includes ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical, contemporary, jazz-funk, and hip-hop. She graduated with a BA in World Arts and Cultures from UCLA, where she also studied Flamenco, Modern, Contact Improv, Capoeira, Egyptian Belly Dance, Polynesian, West African, and Salsa. Recently, Alexie was a Top 11 contestant on the television show "So You Think You Can Dance" Season 7. She continues to pursue all that makes her feel more alive and in love with life because she believes what the world really needs, are people who are more alive!
