It seems like more and more people are hiring life coaches these days; so if you’re looking for some sound life advice, look no further. Carlos Acosta, who has had an extensive career dancing in the English National Ballet, National Ballet of Cuba, Houston Ballet and American Ballet Theatre, has partnered with BBC World Service to bring us “Three life lessons... from dancer Carlos Acosta.”

Here are some of the things Mr. Acosta says we should know and we need to teach our children. First, keep challenging yourself! According to the ballet master, you never want to get comfortable, because then you won’t push yourself to do anything else. In fact, Acosta says getting comfortable is dangerous and can hinder your potential.

Second, he says to never fear failure, because there is no such thing as failure. It’s a construct of the human psyche that does not serve you. Lastly, keep evolving. Try new things, learn new skills, and challenge yourself to reach new heights, because it will keep moving you forward in life. Woah…talk about some good advice.

Is it just me, or should we all have a tiny Carlos Acosta in our pockets to pull out when things get difficult? From now on, maybe we should as ourselves W.W.C.D, What Would Carlos Do?
