It's this spoooooky time of year! Time to curl up and watch something to give you the heebie-jeebies. And if you're like me and you've already watched all of "Haunting of Hill House" on Netflix (anyone else totally obsessed??) you're going to need something else to put on your list. So how about a dance movie? For Halloween, you ask? Well, there is this new film called Suspiria hitting theaters, combining horror with our favorite topic: dance.

Suspiria is actually a remake of a 1977 Italian supernatural horror film, based on Suspiria de Profundis (Sighs from the Depths), written in 1845 by Thomas De Quincey. In it, an American ballet student travels abroad to study at an academy that houses some dark secrets. There's murder, witches, and a lot more creepy stuff.

This year's remake of the film features Dakota Johnson - who you might know from the 50 Shades of Grey franchise - and Tilda Swinton, who actually takes on three roles. The official synopsis for this new version goes like this: "As a darkness builds at the center of a world-renown dance company, its artistic director (Tilda Swinton), a young American new to the troupe (Dakota Johnson), and a grieving psychotherapist (Lutz Ebersdorf) become entangled in a bloody, sighing nightmare."

It's not often we've gotten a truly scary movie that also throws some dance in the mix. So how about rounding up some dancer friends, going to class or rehearsal and heading to the theater afterward! Better yet - leave us a comment after you see it and let us know what you think!

See it in theaters in LA and NYC this weekend, and nationally on November 2nd.
