Good news pluggers, the new TV show World of Dance is the most-watched summer alternative series debut in nine years! The show aired at 10:00 pm on Tuesday evening, and now it’s everywhere. Your Instagram feed, your Facebook wall, and your Twitter are most likely blowing up with all things World of Dance right now.

The show's scoring method is similar to the way that dancers are scored at a regular competition. The judges, Jennifer Lopez, Derek Hough, and NE-YO, rate the talent based on performance, technique, choreography, creativity, and presentation. Each category is worth 20 points for a possible grand total of 100. In order to pass the qualifying round contestants must average a score of 80 or higher.

So far they've only shown one dance group get cut (sad day for the clogging group). We also saw some familiar faces make an appearance, such as Les Twins, Mari & Keone, and Kinjaz. Was this a publicity stunt?... Probably, but no ones really complaining, because let's face it, these dancers are amazing. In a nutshell, so far so good, let's see how the rest of the season pans out.
